Tumblast Cleaning Machines

What is a Tumblast Cleaning Machine and What Does It Do?

The tumblast type blasting machine is an automatic, high-efficiency surface treatment equipment designed especially for cleaning, roughening, and preparing the surfaces of small- and medium-sized metal parts. It effectively removes rust, scale, burrs, and other surface defects from cast, forged, heat-treated, or welded parts, ensuring the desired surface quality before painting, coating, or assembly.

How Does It Work?

The tumblast cleaning machine operates by placing parts into a rotating drum. The drum continuously turns the parts, ensuring that every surface is evenly processed. During this process, steel shots or similar abrasive materials are propelled onto the parts’ surfaces by high-speed turbines or nozzles. This removes unwanted residues and roughens the surface for further processing.

The abrasive material is collected within the system, filtered, and reused—providing material savings as well as environmentally friendly production.

Areas of Use and Suitable Part Types

Tumblast type shot blasting machines are widely used in many industries such as automotive, aerospace, foundry, metalworking, construction, and defense. They are particularly ideal for mass production facilities, providing efficient surface cleaning and preparation of small- and medium-sized parts.

They deliver high efficiency and uniform surface quality in processing cast parts, gears, fasteners, springs, and similar components.
