What is a Cylinder Blast Cleaning Machine and What Does It Do?
The cylinder blast cleaning machine is a specialized surface treatment equipment designed to clean and prepare the outer surfaces of steel cylinders used for storing gases such as LPG, oxygen, and nitrogen. It effectively removes rust, weld marks, and other surface contaminants from cylinders, ensuring a smooth and uniform surface before painting, coating, or testing processes.
It is particularly valuable in gas cylinder production, maintenance, and refurbishment operations, offering high efficiency and consistent quality standards.
How Does It Work?
The cylinder blast cleaning machine operates with a system that automatically rotates and advances the tubes into the blasting cabinet. Inside the cabinet, high-speed turbines direct steel shots onto the tube surfaces. Thanks to the simultaneous rotation and forward movement of the tubes, the entire surface is evenly exposed to the abrasive, ensuring homogeneous cleaning.
The abrasive material is collected within the system, filtered, and reused—providing both material savings and environmentally friendly production.
